Terms of Service

These terms govern use of SMRS Parents for Progress at smrsparents.org. By using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Purpose and independence

This is an independent, parent-managed forum for questions, discussion, and practical follow-through on school safety. It is not an official school or Diocese website and cannot speak on their behalf. It is not an emergency reporting service. For an immediate threat or emergency, call 911 or contact the appropriate emergency services.

Accounts and eligibility

Participation is intended for adult parents and guardians in the school community. Provide accurate information, use an account you are authorized to access, and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not impersonate another person or allow someone else to use your account. Signing in does not mean the organizers have independently verified your school affiliation.

Community conduct

Keep discussion respectful, constructive, and relevant. Distinguish firsthand observations, reports, opinions, and confirmed facts. Do not post threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, knowingly false allegations, spam, unlawful content, or material you have no right to share. Do not publish children’s identifying details or other people’s private information. Do not attempt to bypass access controls or disrupt the service.

Your contributions

You remain responsible for what you submit and retain any rights you hold in it. By posting, you give the organizers permission to store, display, format, and moderate your contribution as needed to operate the community. Share only material you are permitted to share. Signed-in users may see your contributions and profile details, and may copy content despite community rules.

Moderation and access

Organizers and authorized moderators may review, edit, restrict, or remove content and suspend access to enforce these terms, protect privacy, or address abuse. Moderation does not guarantee that all content is reviewed or accurate. To report a concern or ask for review of a moderation decision, contact parents@smrsparents.org.

Accuracy and availability

Questions and parent reports may be incomplete or unverified. Community discussion is not professional legal, medical, or emergency advice. Check important information with the school, authorities, or another appropriate source. The site is provided as available; uninterrupted operation, completeness, and error-free content are not guaranteed.

Third-party services

Sign-in, hosting, and email features rely on external service providers. Your use of a Google account remains subject to Google’s terms. Links to external websites do not imply endorsement, and their operators control their content and privacy practices.

Leaving the community and changes

You can stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through the contact form or by email. See the Privacy Policy for information about retention. We may update these terms and their effective date as the service changes; material changes will be communicated through the site or email where appropriate.
